Selecting the location intended for breeding catfish requires the following considerations:
Choose a location close to water source, such as wells, irrigation, rivers, etc.
Try to find a location that is also close to a sewer, to avoid the water drained from the pond to be stagnant.
Make sure that the location is safe from flood and predators like biawak (monitor lizards), lizards, snakes, etc.
Find a location which is relatively safe from theft, or build a fence around the area, and make sure that the area gets enough sunlight.
